finding vacuum leaks
i have noticed that at idle my boost gauge hovers above the -14 mark, indicating that i must have a vacuum leak somewhere. i have just spent a while today changing all the old cloth wrapped hoses for new silicone ones. i was hoping this would solve it, especially since the ones connected to the fuel...

swirls have to be machined off, you can get polish with fillers to mask them but the only way to really sort them is machine. i think there is nothing you can do about orange peel :( since it is a defect in the paint underneath the lacquer no you will never get rid of it unless you machine polish al...
