Re: Turbos, the very first ones (where are they? - part 2)

Even on the Dutch forum the earliest known (today) registered turbo's are from march. All the numbers you have listed are unknown at the RDW, which probably means they are scrapped. SK94JG has a VIN of 502197 (if I read correctly) which means it is a MY87 car. Probably, it is just rebuild to preprod...

Re: Supercharging

A rotex or any centrifugal supercharger combines all the disadvantages of a turbo and supercharger into one product.
IMHO a no go.

Re: Supercharging

The VTES looks interesting, although 1.8kW and 350 Amps is a heavy load for the electric circuit. Besides you need to get the fuelling correct. Basically there are three options: -change the wiring loom and ECU to turbospec (Bosch LH +EZK) -fit a risingrate fuelpressure regulator -fit an aftermarket...

Re: b16f to b18e, ecu problem - help needed

Doesn't the engine run on B16F wiring loom, B16F ECU and b16F electric parts (injectors, throttle body, sensors etc.)?

There is as far as I know no Bin editors for the renix/fenix ecu.

Re: Standard 1.7 Drivability

Since an automatic will shift around 2-3000 rpm when driving normally. I would choose a 2 liter automatic since they have around 15% more torque in that area then a 1.7. So it will be a smoother an quicker ride.

Re: Difference between ES and GT

The specifations varied by country and modelyear. The first S in the Netherlands (1992) still had the infocentre and had colourcoded bumpers, it only lost the alloy wheels and fog lights. While the french S didn't have colour coded bumpers. Some german S have ABS as standard. It is really difficult ...
