I've flown a Cessna light aircraft and driven a `66 Vauxhal Viva.

I have to say the Viva felt sooo much more scary - old cars just feel so dodgy!!

Back of the net! Yeah Steve Coogan always said Alan had one more series left. I have been waiting like 2 years for it. I LOVE Alan because for six months a few years ago I WAS Alan. I can really apprecaiate it especially the first series at the travel tavern. I totaly sympathise with his mindset and...

 My car is called Sparky. Its called sparky cos in the hardest rain on the dual carridgeway (i live in Devon) it looses power and splutters. So i said to it - "Sparky, don't be gay"*. The name has stuck and is now uttered when speedo/info centre/mysterious squeek/rattling exhaust happens. *As ...

Since i fitted 2x new 480 rubbers to the mid section of my exhaust I get a rattle when accelerating which sounds like the exhaust. I dont have any ramps or any proper tools and I ended up fitting it by using a jack to lift it and a claw hammer to lever it (dont hate me!) Its got 2x new rubbers on no...

Magnatec 10W40 for modern engines is the oil i now use. When i bought the 480 it had an "odd" engine sound sort of like those (toy)cars you push along the floor to build up the flywheel before you let them go. Also it had a non-volvo oil filter in it. My man at Volcare (great cheap local volvoGod) c...

I love/hate my info centre. It was intermittantly chinese for a bit and then after i left my local volvo mans garage (Volcare Plymouth - very good) it started re-setting itself when i accelerated. Then the whole display went blank. It was a small wire which attaches to the alternator (thanks guysd!!...

Yeah I agree with alfonzobonzo.. I had the whole info centre bit keep re-setting itself everytime i accelerated - it was fine when stationary or when at a constant speed. In between resetting itself it was also loosing all illumination. I found the grey/green wire on the alternator to be loose and r...

Hmm, My heated seats used to work real nice. Now they dont work at all. I have check fuses etc and I am not at all sure it is the filaments because both seats stopped working at the same time.

I really miss my heated seats!
