Re: B18E 1,7i Catalytic converter removal
I am still right... the B18E has no cat originally, the b18ED has.... but that doesn't matter.
However will be a mot failure I think.

Hi Steve, depending on interest in the springs 235 - 255 € incl shipping with track and trace, so € 25 shipping costs.

Volvo lowering springs
I have talked to one of the better spring manufacturers here in Holland. The result is that I can supply you with replica's of the original Volvo 480 lowering springs. Lowering is 30 millimeters and progressive wound, so the loss of comfort is minimal. The springs will be available in red and yellow...

Re: What turbo can I fit to my 480 turbo
All standard turbo's in Volvo 400 series are T2's.
Only difference is that somewhere in 1991 or 1992, turbo's were changed a little bit.
The later T2 has a bigger actuator yes.
Other differences are are the pipes of oil and water, they differ a bit.

Re: Cambelt change
One little remark, Maybe I missed it, but to use a screwdriver to adjust the tensioner ? On the rearside of the timing belt cover (the side that points at the passenger) there is a hole with thread, I think M8 or M10. By screwing a M8 or M10 bolt in, you adjust the tension, and when good, locking th...

Re: Availability of New Parts
Will think of the snow cap reproductions, but that means that I have to take my original snowcap apart...
The snowcap actually consists of 2 parts, wich are put together.

Re: Fuel relay does not work
Hi Willem Jan, maybe take a look on the dutch volvo 480 Forum.
I think I can help you because I only do repairs and maintenance on 480's.. no other cars.
My nickname there is the same as here.
Just pm me.
Regards,
Jeroen

Re: Availability of New Parts
A 125 euros for a spoiler + postage too pricey for me  . Still Dutch prices are always higher than ours. Hi Jim, I know what you mean, but please bear in mind that my spoilers are way tougher then original Volvo ones, fitment is perfect, quality is so much better as earlier reproductions her...

Re: Volvo 480 Turbo side stickers
Too much 480's with almost similar stickers, maybe in the first years this was a option ?
Here a link to another 480 ES with almost the same sidestickers :
(didn't have time to photograph my breaker turbo with stickers)

Funny, I have a breaker 1989 turbo standing somewhere, with almost the same stickers on the sides.
Will try to post a piccy when I have made pics of it.

Re: cabriolet 480 on ebay worth a look .
Well, maybe it is....
But it is really a one of a kind opportunity, if youre a lover of the 480, to own this must be worth something.
Some Dutchmen are going crazy now..... even thinking of selling children to own that 480

Re: Big brake upgrade kit, interest?
Helped a friend putting a lowering set on a Volkswagen Golf 4 1.8T. Well : that car has also ATE calippers with sliding pins, and a larger brake surface.(also 54 mm piston) I know that Renault Clio RS brake discs (280mm) fit fine (i have tried them) Now sourcing a set of those brake calippers. Only ...
