Going to breakers tomorrow!

Any last offers for both or either 480 1.7 ES? As they have to go tomorrow! Please someone make an offer - or maybe someone has space for one or both to be used as a club spares car? I would really prefer them to go to a 480 club member! The white 480 was car of the month, in May I think it was, an...

TWO 480 1.7ES E Reg for spares or repair

One white 1988 E Reg MOT to October 2006. But needs new clutch, and subframe, and brake disks and pad will need replacing in next 12 months. Computer fine and new front lights; but rear arches need work. One black 1987 E reg no MOT. Bought as project but not able to spend enough time or money on it ...

Subframe

The quote was

£900 for subframe

£600 for new clutch and clutch cable

But if had them done together £1200

It was from a main dealer and the clutch quote was so expensive because it was nearly a days labour!

A second hand one would be fine as long as it would last a few years.

Also, when I got home this evening after stupidly leaving the pop-ups up last night, I found that some f*#ker has tried to push them down (or kick them!) and has snapped the plastic hinge on the mechanism of the nearside light! The other one still works fine! Is the nearside light stuck up ...

genuine volvo one from volvo is 130UKP No offence but £150 for a nearly new clutch is a lot of money. For that I would supply and fit it. A reconditioned clutch is only 60UKP. Are you serious? [Really really hope so] :D If so... How much for a new subframe and clutch cable supplied and fitted as w...

Clutch and subframe

:cryhard:

I am afraid that my 1988 480 es may be terminally ill!

The clutch is on its way out and I keep adjusting the cable; but it needs a new cable, clutch and subframe - for which I have had an estimate of £1200! :badmood:

Any ideas of how I can save my beloved 480 would be much appreciated.

This may be a stupid question - sorry if it is!!

But is it possible to mod the ecu for a non turbo (1987 pre cat)? And if you can is it worth doing?

Ok Dragon, as I said in my previous post: I hear what you are saying in principle coyote1980. However, whether it should be here or in general 480 or in technical I will bow to your experience - Sorry Maybe I was just confused by the term "wastegate" :? The trouble is the fact remains that I can not...
