There is a knack i believe, something to do with magic wands and a top hat I think... ;)

If that doesnt work fold down the back seats and spend several hours trying several different combinations! :D

Try this:

http://volvo480.dragons.org.uk/forum/vi ... conversion

The forum's search function is very useful, type in turbo conversion and should have a load of useful threads.

Ignore it. I *think* that this was because when the cars were produced (late 80's), 95 ron was the only unleaded petrol sold and the sign was placed there to stop people putting leaded fuel in it. But i may have just made that up entirely!

I'm not, but that was through laziness! Really wish I had though, the idle is now lumpier and a lil bit irratic.

There was never one made for the 480. All turbo's come fitted with a small front spoiler, so if you're good with fiberglass (or know someone who is) then you can have that modified and attach a splitter to that. A guy called Aibast on this forum has recently made one for his 480. Check out his threa...

Basically yes. If you want your engine to last as long as possible Shell's V power all the way! If you drive hard it'll work out more economical also. I did a track day last year using 95 and in 3 hours i used an entire tank, i ran another one a few weeks ago and only used just over half the tank! A...

I should breath a lot better and feel more responsive! I noticed loads of difference on the ES so surely the effects on a turbo would be far more noticeable.

Have you tried timing her, 0-60, 60-100 etc with and without the de-cat?

Well they've had the thought to add 4 wheel traction control and a launch system....why they need 4 wheel traction control on a 2WD car (?) I don't know...!

No probs mate. There are endless cheap ways to mod the B18ft. Scan around the forum a bit and try and get an idea how far you want/are able to take things. Mods range from a simple ecu chip, right up to Rich's supercharger and turbo supermod!
