Silver....I'm not sure theres a knack as it were: you can't get in there to lubricate the clips you can see in the above photos so I think the best you can do is a screwdriver wrapped in a rag and try to release one clip at once?

Re: Petrol blue (paris?) ES in Durham
Hi guys, (Hi again Jamesy?!) It was on Sunday at 12.45, the roundabout with the A690 and A181, the blue 480 had come from the A1 direction and was turning left onto the A181, there was one car between us & only saw you when you were pulling onto the roundabout, I went straight on. I really was very ...

Petrol blue (paris?) ES in Durham
Spotted a blue 480ES in Durham on Sunday, the first time I've seen another while driving (and not at another 480 owners place) since december 2009! I got excited. Also spotted some dude in a minibus flashing his lights at me after I'd passed, on the A1 somewhere near Leeds, think he was happy to see...

Re: 480S 2.0 superwhite
- Is it the same, standard plug for 1- and 2- wire type sensor in the engine bay or do I need to wire this this by myself up? - Do i need to remove oil filter from turbo or the access is easier? -follow the yellow or white (i forget which) wire is connected to the present oil sensor to the loom, wh...

Re: 480S 2.0 superwhite
My 94 GT and 95 Celebration (both 2 litre) have 4 pin plugs/wiring and work with the 6 pin guage...no idea about other combinations though.
Slash is correct on the oil pressure sender/sensor. Easiest way to find a sensor is to get one from a turbo, same thread etc

Split and moved topic 480S 2.0 superwhite
Hello there!
On the auxiliary guage front, 4 pin plug into 6 pins is easy: just connect the plug to the outer 4 pins on the guage-I forget which side, if you've the right guage one side of four out of six will work!

Re: What's the best colour 480
In general I like the GT green but on a 480 I've always liked White and the two tone. Maybe I'm in the minority judging by the above

The white car infront of your garage is in the stripping position, no?

Thats a fair summary. You could try protecting them from UV with some polish/wax? Seem to recall someone on here saying they did that years ago

Most unusual eh. Doubt it'll help the sale and I'm not sure I'd trust cruise control on a 480, or any 20 year old car?

Re: Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure
Have used exactly this on Lula which fixed the leaking rear light seals. Didn't notice any undesirable side effects over the course of a couple of years but did need to reapply it once (?). Make sure you have a nice absorbent cloth at the ready in your spare hand for drips/runs, the viscosity of the...

Flywheel and clutch are, I think, different sizes on the different engines. Don't know much else, and am sorry if thats insulting your intelligence!
