Re: Where are the horns located?
Maybe your alarm went off because someone was trying to get into your car, or at your catalytic converter (if it has one) and they ripped the horns off to stop it making a noise?

Re: Light doesn't work, I got indicators and high beam if holded.
Thanks a lot, its works with the car battery? Thanks. So I bypassed it, 30-87 (if I remember) Light pops up, so motor works, light relay bypassed, and I got light. So it must be the relay, can i buy it still, or it will be hunting for red October? If it's bypassed, I can't control with the light sw...

Re: Light doesn't work, I got indicators and high beam if holded.
Yes It can be bypassed. Depends on which relay it is as to how you bypass it. You'd be looking to place a jumper cable between the terminals for the switched contacts. You have a 12v supply, it's your cars battery π Alternatively you could test for resistive continuity between the terminals of the c...

Re: Light doesn't work, I got indicators and high beam if holded.
Relay can be tested on the bench. Apply power to the coil terminals (usually 85 and 86). See if the relay clicks/ operates. If it doesn't then it needs replacing. If it does, then you'll need to test that the switched circuits are making contact with a multimeter, or another 12v power supply and lig...

Flushing is a good place to start I'd say A sniff test is a bung you put in the header tank, it's got an airlock type arrangement on it like you'd have on homebrew wine when it's fermenting. Instead of water it has a blue fluid which reacts to hydrocarbons and turns yellow, so if it bubbles and the ...

Wow, it looks like it opens a fair way. I have the factory one and if opened all the way (about half of your opening by the looks of it) it's really noisy. Does yours get noisy while driving? I guess you can unclip the mechanism and remove the glass completely? I was hoping that the Volvo factory su...

Where are you based yeti? I have a pressure testing kit if you need to borrow one.. Does it overheat when it's moving? What's the temperature when you're ambling along at say 50 mph? If you find it's running ok and the temp is about 80 to 82 degrees ISH when moving, that would suggest the cooling sy...

Re: My 480s so far!
Did you put correct temperature thermostat in? When was coolant last changed? Has it ever been flushed to get rid of any silt build up which could block the pipes? Is radiator in good condition, IE all cooling fins still attached and in good condition, and free from blockages? Is there white gunk in...

Re: Rear light seal suggestions?
Daft question but is it definitely coming in through your tail lights?
Other place it can get in are side orange reflectors and boot lid seal, especially at the top where the wiring crosses it to get to the stop lamp and wiper.

Hi Jay-Kay-Em. .
I have already replaced it but if I remember rightly it was clearly one which had been returned to stock so may have had an issue from new. I'll have another look at it
