Extremely common issue, affects both my windows, have you tried replacing the wire or rewrapping it?

I have the fan switch and the indicator stalk. NB They’re both from an early 480 (‘87 ES) so the switch is for heating only, with the ‘off’ position. I'm driving an S40 1.6 d at the moment, very similar to the C30 I believe not sure about the wheelbase though. Good car but nowhere near as exciting at my 480

I was expecting a failure because the fan broke but I was surprised by the rust because it had passed fine the year before and drove fine before the MOT!

Rear arches, inner and outer (inner mainly). Runs fine, emissions high, fan not working. Suspected head gasket (could be worse)

My 480 GT is a bit more problematic that I thought, it will need welding and perhaps even a new engine. I do want to keep the car but it's getting a bit too much... Thoughts and advice?

Doesn’t read that bad to me; pretty much standard fail items. Rear brakes (just service them) Rear inner sills (they all go there) did it actually overheat? Or did they find the rot, knew it’d fail so invented a reason for not testing? To me, it’s not a “thorough” garage, more one that hates older ...
