Hi Jay.
Thank you for the reply.
Then it's more a question of patience.
Yep I'm redoing all the cooling hoses (got a set). My radiator is broken so I am in process of swaping it.
Cheers

Re: Replcing maf
Finally after many years found the issue.
The connector to the maf was dodgy.
I have taken it to multiple garages. Some of them from Volvo.
I found by chance actually.

Coolant bleeder hose cleanup
Hello, On the turbo models, there is that very thin (less than 5mm) hose/pipe that connects from the very top of the radiator back to the expansion tank. I believe the main purpose is to help bleed the air when filling with coolant. Mine's completely clogged. Has it is a nard pipe and full of bends,...

In search of new brake accumulator
Hi friends, The brake accumulator is gone. Mine is the black sphere one (1991 b18ftm engine). I know Volvo don't make them anymore so I will have to get it from another brand. I saw someone using one from a Jaguar, but the link was broken. Has anyone been able to find a suitable replacement? Can you...

Re: Yet more engine issues
Hi friends,
Unfortunately the regulator did not solve the issue.
Took it also to volvo dealer but without success.
If I ever find the cause, I'll keep you posted.
Cheers

Re: Yet more engine issues
Thanks for the help.
I'll try to source one.
Oh and btw I also disconnected the line that comes from the pump and connects to the injector rail (on the 4th cylinder side) when crancking, a good anount of fuel came out.

Re: Yet more engine issues
So, this weekend I started my teardow. I disconnected all pipework form the maf till the manifold (included) all pipes were ok even the ones that attach to the turbo. The throttle body was rather oily, as well as the TPS sensor. The oil came from the cranckcase breeder valve. This, because the trhot...

Re: Yet more engine issues
Guys, one more question. If it is air or vacum leak related, wouldn't disconnect the maf make itba bit better. At least for low revs?

Re: Yet more engine issues
Hi thanks for the help. I Did a reset via the jumpers for 30 seconds (engine hot). Problem was there from the start. I then umpluged the pipe conecting to the ecu. I could feel good vacuum. I also could feel bost (I drove a bit with the pipe unconnected). While driving, it stuttered so bad that the ...

Hi, yeah I forgot its a 91 turbo.
Idles perfectly.
I noticed it about two weeks ago. I think when it appeared, it appeared full on. Perhaps getting a bit worse now.

Yet more engine issues
Hi friends, having sorted the missfiring issues due to a bad distributor isolation, I have been driving for almost an year an almost perfect engine. But from last few weeks I am having yet more issues. This happens mostly on low engine speed and moderate trhottle application: the car as massive flat...

Info center in debug mode
Hi friends, As some of you might know it is possible to enter in debug mode in (at least some ) infocenters. To do so, press the reset button before turning on the ignition. You can see how many litters of fuel you have in the tank. You can also see the sensors values but in the range of 0-255 ( sin...

BTW,
Robou: pluging the hole from the outside (and not between the manifold and the intake pipe) a high reving engine. Pluging the hole between the intake manifold and the intake pipe, leads to low idle.
Cheers

No more original spark plugs
Hi everyone, Volvo has stopped producing the spark plugs for the turbo model. In my case a 91 b18ftm (no cat) I always purchased original ones since in the past I had many issues due to non-original spark plugs. For instance i had some issues with some bosch ones. So does anyone know good ones that ...

Re: 480 turbo boost loss
Hi guys,
What about the vacuum pipes that control the heater.
On the turbo, the heater has vacum pipes to control the direction of the blower.
