No a 16v head wont fit an 8v block, the oil gallerys are different. steve It Does fit! Headgaskets are exactly the same. Don't Say it won't fit unless you've actually tried to do so. Just because the B234 has an external oil pump doesn't mean the head won't fit the B230 with internal oilpump. Oil f...

thnx :) would a 16v cilinder head and the pistons from a 2.0 clio williams engine fit the volvo engine? the bore and stroke are the same, and the rest of the engine is also the same. the only problem are the manifolds and getting everithing to fit under the bonnet (and still be able to close the bon...

Fitting different engine, still road legal?

i was wondering, is a 480 still legal if you fit a different engine (volvo s/v40 T4 engine) in it? i think you have to adapt lots of things in the engine bay. but on the other hand, it has the same amount of cilinders.

btw, does anyone know the engine number/type of a T4 engine?

as long as its a thermoplast you can weld it. don't know if its the same material as wich the plastic of motorbikes is made, but thats also weldable.

gearbox should be the same. only difference is that a renault gearbox has a mechanical speedo drivethingy, and the volvo box doesn't. so unless you don't bother you don't have a speedo you can put a volvo box in a renault (the other way round doesn't matter since volvo doesn't use that speedo drivet...
